2nd Virtual Congress of General Practice and Family Medicine
  Dr. Ana Margarida Cruz

   Dear colleagues,

As a young trainee in GP/FM I accepted the invitation to join the organization of this 2nd virtual congress with great enthusiasm. I made use of the 1st virtual congress, and I can tell you that I really admire and appreciate such a well-conceived, pioneering achievement among us.

In today’s global world it is crucial to keep up with new initiatives and accept that knowledge is far more accessible today, and it is imperative that it should be filtered and its format of patient-centred response properly valued. Being aware that patients get information from all kinds of sources, it is up to us to move a bit more quickly and learn how to use resources that give us both confidence and knowledge that can be applied in our clinical practice. e-learning is an essential tool for modern medical practitioners, no matter what their age and academic qualifications.

Knowing that any motivated person interested in sharing their knowledge and work experience, regardless of where they live, can take part in this conference seems to be the perfect concept of a meeting point for professionals bent on keeping up-to-date with developments in GP/FM.

This conference, in such a friendly and accessible format, really is an unrivalled boon. I have been particularly pleased to be able to have access to this international network, by means of a simple 'click', where innovation and learning are here, right at hand.

I hope to be sharing this conference of knowledge and communication with you!

   With best wishes

Ana Margarida Cruz

Be Part of Today's World

Since we are committed to continuous development and to bringing the best tools and resources to support our practice, we'll want to be part of this.

“The Second Virtual Congress of General Practice and Family Medicine"

   http://www.virtualcongressgpfm.com

We may be in need for a hand in achieving our personal and professional dreams. But we sure need to share how to create new dreams, remove old beliefs and design simple, yet life-challenging practices to get what we aim for.

Over the last few years, the term E- Health and Computational Practice has gained momentum all over the world. And at first glance, the modish and engaging concept of “e-Health” is a reasonable one to apply to general practice, and if our objective is to improve health care, then we need to start by sharing and enriching our “Operational Knowledge".

The concept of a 'virtual conference' is one of its kind that offer the opportunity to foster virtual interactions and collaborations among physicians, students as well as researchers , we all have our own ideas and experience at all levels; let us share them so that we all get to learn from each. This is today’s world.
