Time is simply racing by, living a trail of experiences, encounters, emotions, losses and gains. The 2nd Virtual Conference of Family Medicine started on 21 September and now Christmas is upon us, and we are nearly in 2010.
It was most certainly a source of new knowledge and much sharing in terms of GFM. The quality is irrefutable (I’m being narcissistic). The organisation was once again exemplary.
The proof is here, in this trail we have left, and now we are looking back. Hopes are a little further ahead. We are not lacking in strength and enthusiasm. So here is the inevitable promise – the 3rd virtual GPFM conference. It doesn’t matter who promotes it, or who holds it. What matters is that it will happen. As a medical man, true to ethics, and repeating what I said in my opening message, “the primacy of Science for Science”.
I would like to thank everyone who has taken part. And my heartfelt thanks also go to the members of the various committees of the 2nd virtual conference for their diligence and professionalism. A special compliment to the IAB, whose impetus has been a beacon to us on this journey. Dr Viswanathan, is one man who is a great friend of this initiative and he deserves particular recognition.
